Dinamo ace bound for Italy

FC Dinamo Bucuresti have agreed to sell striker Claudiu Niculescu to the Italian side Genoa 1893.

Romanian champions FC Dinamo Bucuresti have agreed to sell striker Claudiu Niculescu to the Italian Serie B side Genoa 1893.

Million dollar man
Dinamo have accepted a €1m bid from Genoa plus 10 per cent of any future transfer fee involving the 26-year-old. Niculescu is due to sign within the next 24 hours.

University educated
Niculescu scored 61 goals in 123 games in the Romanian first division - including five in two games this term - during spells with Dinamo and FC Universitatea Craiova. In Genoa, he will link up with countrymen Paul Codrea and Adrian Mihalcea.
