Austria round-up: Gilewicz double puts Wien top

Radoslav Gilewicz scored twice as FK Austria Wien switched places with former leaders SV Pasching.

Radoslav Gilewicz scored twice as FK Austria Wien switched places with former leaders SV Pasching at the top of the Austrian Bundesliga, the new table-toppers winning 3-0.

Wien delight
Djalminha set up Gilewicz for his first on the stroke of half-time before the same player headed the second not long after the break. On 54 minutes, Vladimir Janocko converted Michael Wagner's through-ball to confirm the top-of-the-table victory.

Super Marijo
Marijo Maric scored a double as FC Kärnten picked up three useful points at UEFA Cup contenders SK Sturm Graz with a 3-1 win. David Mujiri's cross found the head of Alain Masudi as the hosts took the lead in the 16th minute. Sturm held on until the 74th minute, when Maric pounced on goalkeeper Heinz Weber's slip to roll the ball home. Four minutes later, Maric put his side ahead by heading Heimo Vorderegger's corner past Weber before Helge Kolvidson sealed the points eight minutes from time.

Graz's double comeback
Peter Halmosi won a point for Grazer AK as they held hosts VfB Admira Wacker Mödling to a 2-2 draw. Dejan Markovic gave Admira the lead on 29 minutes before Mario Bazina rolled the ball home from close range to level matters just after the hour. Not long afterwards Fernando Troyanski headed Admira back in front, but Halmosi shot home from 12 metres with 13 minutes left to ensure the draw.

Akagündüz treble for Ried
Basement club SV Austria Salzburg's woes continued as Christoph Jank was sent off deep into added time and they were held to a goalless draw at Schwarz-Weiss Bregenz, while SV Ried registered a 3-1 victory over SK Rapid Wien with a second-half hat-trick from Muhamed Akagündüz.
