Hungary is in mourning after former international midfielder Gábor Zavadszky was found dead after passing away at his home in Cyprus on Friday.

Zavadszky death shocks Hungary

Hungary is in mourning after former international midfielder Gábor Zavadszky was found dead after passing away at his home in Cyprus on Friday.

Hungary is in mourning after former international midfield player Gábor Zavadszky was found dead by his Apollon Limassol FC team-mates, after apparently passing away at his home on Friday.

Pulmonary embolism
The 31-year-old former Ferencvárosi TC and MTK Hungária FC player was discovered after failing to join his team for the trip to THOI Lakatamia. According to Cypriot First Division leaders Apollon's website, doctors believe Zavadszky, who won four caps with Hungary, might have suffered a pulmonary embolism in his sleep. The club's fixture against ENTHOI Lakatamias FC has been postponed as a mark of respect.
