New ground for Guimarães

Vitória Guimarães will stage their home game against Sporting Clube de Portugal at the Estádio das Antas.

Vitória Guimarães are to play their home SuperLiga game against Sporting Clube de Portugal on 8 November at FC Porto's Estádio das Antas.

Federation approval
The Portuguese Football Federation today ratified the switch of venue from FC Felgueiras's stadium to the Das Antas, as requested by Guimarães president António Pimenta Machado.

Stadium renovation
Guimarães have played their home matches this season at second division Felgueiras due to the renovation of their own D. Afonso Henriques stadium, which is scheduled to finish in January.

'True spectacle
However, Pimenta Machado said, they wanted to face champions Sporting at a bigger arena "with the conditions necessary for a true spectacle".
