The 2005/06 UEFA Champions League semi-finalists Villarreal CF have signed Real Zaragoza midfielder Rubén 'Cani' García in an €11m transfer.

The 2005/06 UEFA Champions League semi-finalists Villarreal CF have signed Real Zaragoza midfielder Rubén 'Cani' García in an €11m transfer.

Zaragoza prodigy
The 24-year-old, a pivotal figure as Zaragoza reached the Copa del Rey final this season, losing 4-1 against RCD Espanyol, has agreed a five-year deal with Villarreal. He made 120 league appearances for hometown club Zaragoza, scoring 13 goals. Villarreal will enter this summer's UEFA Intertoto Cup.
