Former Belgian international goalkeeper Geert De Vlieger has joined UEFA Cup contenders SV Zulte-Waregem on a two-year contract from Manchester City FC.

Zulte-Waregem snare De Vlieger

Former Belgian international goalkeeper Geert De Vlieger has joined UEFA Cup contenders SV Zulte-Waregem on a two-year contract from Manchester City FC.

Former Belgian international goalkeeper Geert De Vlieger has joined SV Zulte-Waregem from Manchester City FC.

Belgian comeback
The 34-year-old has signed a two-year contract with the Belgian Cup winners who will start their UEFA Cup campaign in the first round. He spent the last two seasons at City without making a league appearance, having previously played for four and a half years in the Netherlands with Willem II. He started his career in Belgium with KSK Beveren, subsequently representing RSC Anderlecht and RC Harelbeke.
