A solitary John Toner strike maintained TNS Llansantffraid FC's unbeaten start to the League of Wales season on Saturday.
Toner found the net in the 16th minute of his side's home game with Cwmbran Town FC to keep Llansantffraid top of the table on goal difference, just ahead of Barry Town AFC, who cruised past basement club Oswestry Town FC 4-0 thanks to goals from Nathan Cotterell, Dave Toomy and a Nicky Burke double.
Bangor City FC climbed to third with their ninth league victory of the season, a 2-0 success secured with second-half goals from substitute Gareth Williams and Chris Moores.
Relegation-haunted Llanelli FC continued their mini-revival under new manager Leighton James with a thrilling 3-2 win over Caersws FC at Stebonheath Park. Carl Mainwearing was the west Wales club’s star with a goal either side of half-time and although Andrew Davies and Graham Evans drew the visitors level, Andy Hill scored Llanelli's winning goal.
Morgan all smiles
Carmarthen Town AFC manager Tomi Morgan was all smiles as his men clawed a route back to draw 2-2 at Newtown AFC. Justin Wickham gave the home side an early advantage on five minutes with Brian McIloy appearing to add a killer second near the end. But in a dramatic finale Owen Thomas pulled one back in the last minute and substitute Tim Hicks nodded in a leveller deep into added time.
Caernarfon Town FC had a frustrating weekend, picking up their seventh draw of the season as they shared two goals with Afan Lido FC and also having their goalkeeper Brian Thomas taken to hospital with a dislocated shoulder. But they had Danny Barton to thank for securing a share of the spoils nine minutes after Andy Pearson had given Afan Lido a 56th-minute lead.
