A meeting of the board of Cypriot club Aris Limassol FC has culminated in the sacking of coach Georgos Paraskevas.
The 4-0 home loss to Anorthosis Famagusta FC on Saturday was the final straw for the Aris hierarchy, who have witnessed their side suffer defeat in 12 of their Cypriot first division matches this season. Have drawn just one game, Aris are five-points adrift of 13th-placed Alki Larnaca FC in the 14-team table.
Loizou takes charge
Louis Loizou, a former Aris player, has taken temporary charge of the first team as the search for a new permanent coach begins. Paraskevas's departure makes him the fourth trainer to part company with a Cypriot in as many days.
