Llanelli close D'Auria deal

Welsh strugglers Llanelli FC have boosted their chances of avoiding the drop by signing midfielder David D'Auria.

Llanelli FC have boosted their chances of avoiding relegation from the Welsh Premiership by signing midfield player David D'Auria from English non-league club Newport County AFC.

Experience wanted
D'Auria, 32, will bring experience to a Llanelli side three points adrift at the bottom of the table. Meanwhile, manager Leighton James has released David Sherman to join Port Talbot Town FC. Away from Stebonheath, another struggling side, Oswestry Town FC, have made a double purchase with David Watkins arriving from Newtown AFC and Kevin Leech from Vauxhall Motors FC in England.

Ins and outs
Afan Lido FC have also been busy in the Christmas transfer market, snapping up goalkeeper Lee Williams from Welsh League side Goytre United FC. Gavin Rees has linked up with Haverfordwest County AFC from Carmarthen Town AFC, while ex-Barry Town FC midfield player Darren Ryan has moved from Caernarfon Town FC to Rhyl FC.
