Alki Larnaca FC have turned to Bulgarian coach Boris Angelov to lead their fight against relegation.
Faith in Angelov
The struggling Larnaca side, who are currently second-bottom of the 14-team Cypriot Division A, have put their faith in Angelov who takes over from caretaker coach Kokos Panagi.
Angelov's most recent coaching post was at PFC Lokomotiv Sofia last season, although he is best known in Bulgaria for a successful spell with PFC Litex Lovech during the 1993/94 season.
Alki enjoyed an excellent 2001/02 season under the guidance of former Romanian international Ilie Dumitrescu. Since Dumitrescu's departure, however, the club has suffered a series of setbacks, not least the decision of Yugoslavian striker Aleksandar Minic to walk out on them.
