VfL Borussia Mönchengladbach's Germany striker Oliver Neuville will be on the sidelines for at least eight weeks after his adductor operation on Friday.

VfL Borussia Mönchengladbach's German international striker Oliver Neuville will be on the sidelines for at least eight weeks after his adductor operation on Friday.

Operation
A persistent groin problem forced the 33-year-old to undergo surgery and club doctor Stefan Hertl has confirmed that Neuville will not be back until mid-March at the earliest, ruling him out of much of Mönchengladbach's current relegation struggle and making him a doubt for Germany's next UEFA EURO 2008™ qualifier in the Czech Republic on 24 March. "A more precise prediction is not possible at the moment," Hertl said.
