Free agent
After being released by English club Derby County FC Bragstad has been a free agent for some time. "I am glad to get a new chance to play football," he said. "Besides, Bregenz looks like a nice place and it is always interesting to come to a new country.

International experience
"Bregenz play with a sweeper, but they have plans to change to a back four, and that will suit me even better," he continued. The 32-year-old previously had a long career Rosenborg BK, and has acquired plenty of experience, having appeared in the UEFA Champions League and for Norway at EURO 2000™.

Two-year contract
Bragstad has signed a two-year contract with the Austrian club where he will link up with another Norwegian, Jan Ove Pedersen. Earlier this week. Bregenz also signed Mirko Dickhaut from German club VfL Bochum 1848.
