Nürnberg sign Sturm's Szabics

Hungarian striker Imre Szabics will join German club 1. FC Nürnberg at the end of the season on a free transfer from Austrian side SK Sturm Graz.

'Everything agreed'
The 21-year-old forward has passed a medical and will join Nürnberg on a three-year-contract. "We have agreed everything," said Nürnberg general manager Edgar Geenen.

Winning goal
"I like what I've seen of Nürnberg so far," said Szabics, who is currently in his fourth season at Sturm and has already scored nine goals in 2002/03, including the winning goal against S.S. Lazio in the second leg of a UEFA Cup third-round tie, which Sturm lost 3-2 on aggregate. Before moving to Austria he played for Ferencvárosi TC in his homeland.
