European challenge
Tempted by the prospect of UEFA Cup football under coach Jorge Costa, the former CF Os Belenenses and Vitória SC man said it was "a pleasure" to join the team that finished fourth in the Liga. "Braga confirmed themselves as the fourth-biggest club in Portugal," said the 27-year-old left-winger, who also operates at full-back. Although César Peixoto's loan spell at RCD Espanyol this season was curtailed by a knee injury before he even made an appearance, Braga president António Salvador hopes the new recruit "can show what he did at his other clubs".
