Salzburg boosted by Ilić arrival

UEFA Champions League hopefuls FC Salzburg have signed Serbian international Saša Ilić from Galatasaray SK on a three-year contract.

Austrian champions FC Salzburg have agreed a three-year deal to sign Serbian international Saša Ilić from Galatasaray SK.

The 29-year-old attacking midfielder, who has scored seven times in 36 appearances for his country, ends a two-year spell at the Istanbul giants in which he made 59 league outings and found the net on 22 occasions. Ilić has also played for FK Partizan and RC Celta de Vigo and joins a Salzburg side that will enter the UEFA Champions League at the second qualifying round stage.
