Halmstads switch for Sypniewski

Halmstads BK have signed out-of-contract Polish forward Igor Sypniewski.

Swedish side Halmstads BK have strengthened their strike force by signing Polish forward Igor Sypniewski after a deal to bring Pascal Simpson to the Örjans Vall stadium fell through.

No deal
Simpson was on loan with the club last season from Danish side FC København but Halmstads were unable to complete a deal to take on the player permanently.

'Highly technical'
"Sypniewski is a highly technical player who is quick and can shoot with both feet," said Halmstads coach Jonas Thern. "He’s very hard to stop when he goes one-on-one with an opponent."

Work permit
The only stumbling block to the move is the need for the Pole to be awarded a work permit, which the club expect to be a formality.
