Bulgarian international Valeri Bozhinov has completed his transfer for Manchester City FC from ACF Fiorentina for an undisclosed fee, subject to a work permit.

'Great addition'
The 21-year-old striker has agreed a contract running until 2011, and becomes the fourth player to join Sven-Göran Eriksson's side in the last 24 hours after Thursday's combined spending of €24.75m to land Javier Garrido, Vedran Ćorluka and Elano Blumer. Bozhinov, who broke a Serie A record when he made his US Lecce debut aged 15, joined Fiorentina in January 2005 but spent last season on loan at Juventus, helping them to promotion. City's chief excutive Alistair Mackintosh said: "Valeri is an exciting young player and a great addition to the squad."
