PAOK FC have wasted no time in replacing Georgios Paraschos after former AEK Athens FC coach Fernando Santos was installed less than 48 hours after his predecessor departed.
The 52-year-old Santos has agreed a reported three-year deal with the Thessalonika outfit, who lost their opening fixture of the campaign at Skoda Xanthi FC on Saturday, the prelude to Paraschos's exit. The Portuguese Santos was himself an early-season casualty, being sacked by SL Benfica in August, but under the stewardship of PAOK president Theodoros Zagorakis he has been given another chance. Zagorakis knows what he is getting having played under the coach at AEK for three seasons, winning the 2001/02 Greek Cup.
