Polack gets his chance

Finnish Veikkausliiga newcomers FC KooTeePee have named Englishman Steven Polack as their new coach.

Englishman Steven Polack will take charge of a Finnish Veikkausliiga team for the first time in the 2003 season after being appointed coach of newcomers FC KooTeePee.

Lius departure
The Kotka-based club have long been seeking a replacement for Ismo Lius following his autumn departure and finally settled on the 41-year-old. Polack has been based in Finland since the early 1980s, playing more than 300 matches for RoPS Rovaniemi and FC Inter Turku.

One-year contract
Polack has signed a one-year contract with an option of a further season. The 2003 campaign gets under way in mid-May.
