Grant Brebner has completed his transfer from Hibernian FC to fellow Scottish Premier League side Dundee United FC. The 26-year-old former Manchester United FC midfield player was allowed to leave Easter Road by new Hibernian manager Tony Mowbray despite having signed a new three-year contract at the start of the season. Before making his debut in today's 2-1 win against Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC at Tannadice, Brebner said: "It has all happened so quickly, but I am glad to be here and cannot wait to make my debut. I had offers from England, but I am Scottish and my family are settled here."
Maltese Premier League club Marsaxlokk FC have signed Carlo Mamo from champions Sliema Wanderers FC. The 25-year-old defender has signed a three-season deal, having previously won the Maltese title once with Birkirkara FC and for the last two years with Sliema. Capped eleven times by Malta, Mamo told uefa.com. "I have signed for a very ambitious club. I do believe the club have strengthened the squad with many important new signings. I with commit myself to helping my new side improve further on last season's Premier League placing." Their league season begins against Birkirkara on 8 September.
