Four-year contract
The Primera División club confirmed the deal last night, with the player agreeing a four-year contract at the Riazor. The 23-year-old De Guzman, capped 13 times by his country, is in his third season in the Bundesliga, having joined Hannover prior to the 2002/03 campaign from 1. FC Saarbrücken.
French training
De Guzman began his careeer in the Olympique de Marseille youth academy. He will hope to help Deportivo return to Europe, although they look set to miss out next season. The 2003/04 UEFA Champions League semi-finalists are tenth in the Spanish top flight.
