Norway secure finals spot

Ukraine 1-1 Norway Norway became the fourth side to qualify for the FIFA Women's World Cup after coming from behind to draw in Ukraine.

Lehn leveller
Ukraine took the lead after 28 minutes with a goal from Teciana Vereazubova but Norway drew level just before the break with an equaliser from Unni Lehn. Her goal was enough to send Norway to the finals in China alongside the other sides who have already booked the passage, China, Australia and Korea Republic.

Coach proud
"We are proud to be the first European team to qualify, especially as we are unbeaten," said coach Bjarne Berntsen. "Still, our first half against Ukraine was appalling - I asked myself how it was possible for us to play so badly. I watched some games from the recent Women's Under-21 World Cup and I was very impressed, even a little frightened, about how good some of the teams were."
