Champions Chelsea FC kept on the fringes of the Premier League title race with a 4-0 victory away to Bolton Wanderers FC on Monday.

Ten points behind leaders Manchester United FC at the start of play, Carlo Ancelotti's charges needed to reduce that deficit and their victory appeared in little doubt from the moment Didier Drogba's swerving effort from 30 metres broke the deadlock after 11 minutes.

Florent Malouda (41) fired in the second from a narrow angle before second-half drives from Nicolas Anelka and Ramires – his first for the London club – gave fourth-placed Chelsea back-to-back successes for the first time since October. Bolton dropped to tenth having taken just one point from their last five outings.
