Croatian champions NK Dinamo Zagreb have named Krunoslav Jurčić as their new coach following the departure of Vahid Halilhodžić.

No contract details have been released for the 41-year-old, who guided Dinamo to two league titles and one Croatian Cup during a 13-month tenure which ended in May last year.

"Jurčić was the unanimous choice of the club's board – he was our best option," said executive president Zdravko Mamić. "There is no definite objective for next season. Although we will try and do our best in the Champions League, it will not be disaster to play in the Europa League again."

Jurčić takes the reins after Dinamo enjoyed another successful season. The Zagreb club added an 11th Croatian Cup to their title triumph last night, sealing a seventh domestic double, after defeating NK Varaždin 3-1 to secure an emphatic 8-2 aggregate victory.
