Tottenham Hotspur FC clinched their seventh success in eight Premier League outings with a 3-1 victory at Fulham FC, as Bolton Wanderers FC avenged their FA Cup semi-final defeat last season by dispatching Stoke City FC 5-0.

Tottenham took the lead at Craven Cottage after ten minutes as Gareth Bale found the net from a tight angle via a deflection off Chris Baird. The visitors then doubled their advantage on the stroke of half-time when Aaron Lennon combined well with Bale before cracking a left-footed effort in off a post.

A Younès Kaboul own goal after 57 minutes brought Fulham back into it, but despite their mounting pressure it was Spurs who scored late on, Jermain Defore registering deep into added time to move his side level with fourth-placed Chelsea FC on 22 points.

At the other end of the table, Bolton secured only their third win this term courtesy of doubles from Ivan Klasnić and Chris Eagles after Kevin Davies had pointed the way on two minutes. Elsewhere, Wolverhampton Wanderers FC defeated bottom side Wigan Athletic FC 3-1.
