It is as you were at the top of the Bundesliga after Marco Reus' terrific individual display inspired Borussia Dortmund to a 3-0 victory against Eintracht Frankfurt, following FC Bayern München's defeat of VfL Wolfsburg on Friday.

Reus got Dortmund off to a blistering start, finishing coolly from Mario Götze's clipped pass after eight minutes for his 50th career league goal. He did not have long to wait for his 51st, tucking the ball between goalkeeper Kevin Trapp's legs moments later to double the hosts' lead.

By the time Reus completed his treble midway through the second half, Dortmund were down to men, Julien Schieber (31) having been dismissed. The numbers were evened up when Eintracht's Takashi Inui (74) was sent off.

The champions remain 15 points behind runaway leaders Bayern, who sank Wolfsburg courtesy of an impressive overhead kick from former Wolves forward Mario Mandžukić and Arjen Robben's first league goal of the campaign. Bayer 04 Leverkusen remain third, a point further back, after they defeated FC Augsburg 2-1.

Elsewhere on Saturday, SC Freiburg won 3-2 at SV Werder Bremen, while a double from January signing Michel Bastos earned FC Schalke 04 a 2-2 draw at 1. FSV Mainz 05. Fortuna Düsseldorf and Hamburger SV registered 1-0 home victories over SpVgg Greuther Fürth VfL and Borussia Mönchengladbach respectively.
