Atlético agree deal to sign Correa

Club Atlético de Madrid have agreed terms with CA San Lorenzo de Almagro for the services of attacker Ángel Correa, who is set to sign a five-year deal with the Liga side.

Club Atlético de Madrid have reached an agreement with CA San Lorenzo de Almagro to sign attacker Ángel Correa, subject to the 19-year-old passing a medical.

The Rosario-native will join the UEFA Champions League runners-up for a reported fee of €8m after he agreed terms on a five-year deal. A scorer of ten goals in 48 league appearances with San Lorenzo, Correa is a versatile attacker who Atlético describe as "quick, talented and skillful." He has, according to the capital outfit, "this season been one of the standout offensive players for his club" in Argentina.

Liga champions Atlético, who lost to Real Madrid CF after extra time in Saturday's UEFA Champions League final, will begin next season's tournament in the group stage.
