Razmik Hakobyan's double and César Romero's wonder goal secured FC Pyunik a 3-1 final victory over FC Mika and their eighth Armenian Cup.

League leaders Pyunik needed four minutes to break the deadlock as Razmik Hakobyan put them ahead with a precise shot from the box following a bursting run and a cross by Kamo Hovhannisyan.

Alex Henrique equalised from the spot eight minutes later but just past the half-hour Hohvannisyan again set up 19-year-old Hakobyan. Shortly afterwards Romero struck from 25 metres out, before Artak Grigoryan's 73rd-minute dismissal ended any Mika hopes.

It was Pyunik's third cup win in a row and eighth overall – preventing Mika from equalling their previous record tally of seven – and coach Sargis Hovsepyan said: "I want to thank the lads for their dedication. The players carried out our game plan perfectly. It doesn't happen that often and it gives us even more pleasure as we did it in the cup final. We deserved the victory."
