FC Bayern München dropped their first points of the Bundesliga campaign after conceding a late equaliser at SC Freiburg on Tuesday evening.
Nicolas Höfler's goal four minutes from time earned a 1-1 draw for the home side, cancelling out Xherdan Shaqiri's strike for Josep Guardiola's visitors in the 33rd minute of a fixture brought forward because of Bayern's UEFA Super Cup encounter with Chelsea FC on Friday.
Bayern had won their first three Bundesliga fixtures and they looked set to make it four in a row when Shaqiri thrashed in a far-post finish from Thomas Müller's deep cross. However, in an open contest featuring chances at either end, substitute Höfler ensured Freiburg a point by volleying in Sebastian Freis' cross from close range.
