Kevin-Prince Boateng fired a second-half hat-trick as AC Milan completed a remarkable comeback at US Lecce, who had raced into a three-goal lead by half-time.

Guillermo Giacomazzi, Massimo Oddo and Carlos Grossmüller put the hosts in a seemingly unbeatable position at the break, but Milan's Ghanaian midfielder turned the game on its head after coming on at the restart, scoring three times in 14 second-half minutes before Mario Yepes grabbed the winner with seven minutes remaining.

That lifted the Rossoneri to seventh, with Udinese Calcio a point clear of S.S. Lazio at the top after two goals from Antonio Di Natale and one from Maurizio Domizzi gave the Zebrette a 3-0 home win against Novara Calcio. As for their nearest challengers, they extended their unbeaten run to five games and kept the pressure on Udinese with a 2-0 win at lowly Bologna FC.

Bottom spot still belongs to AC Cesena, meanwhile, after Pablo Andres Gonzalez and Manuele Calaio sealed a 2-0 home win for AC Siena. FC Internazionale Milano clinched only their second league victory of the season thanks to Thiago Motta's effort against AC Chievo Verona.

Erik Lamela hit the only goal of the game as AS Roma beat US Città di Palermo 1-0, a double from Maximiliano Moralez earned Atalanta BC a 2-1 success at Parma FC, and the meeting between SSC Napoli and Cagliari Calcio finished 0-0.
