Inter woes compounded by improving Bologna

FC Internazionale Milano's poor Serie A form continued as they lost 3-0 against Bologna FC to slip to sixth, behind an SSC Napoli side that comfortably beat ACF Fiorentina.

SSC Napoli moved above FC Internazionale Milano into fifth in Serie A after their 3-0 win at ACF Fiorentina was coupled with a defeat for the Nerazzurri by the same scoreline against Bologna FC.

Inter's preparations for their UEFA Champions League round of 16 first leg at Olympique de Marseille on Wednesday were far from ideal as they suffered their fifth loss in six matches in all competitions. Marco Di Vaio stunned the hosts with two goals in as many minutes late in the first half and Robert Acquafresca (85) extended Bologna's unbeaten run to six league games with a mazy run and finish.

Napoli, who host Chelsea FC on Tuesday before Inter's Serie A visit next Sunday, had fewer problems ahead of their return to European action.  Edinson Cavani struck in either half in a comfortable win against the Viola, with Ezequiel Lavezzi completing the scoring in stoppage time.
