Dortmund duo missing
Midfield player Tomáš Rosický is still recovering after appendix surgery while BV Borussia Dortmund team-mate Jan Koller is out with a lung problem. Meanwhile, Liverpool FC striker Milan Baroš has broken his leg and will be sidelined until the new year. Karel Poborský from AC Sparta Praha and Hamburger SV's Tomáš Ujfaluši are suspended but will join the squad in Vienna.
Newcomer from Marseille
Brückner has included Olympique de Marseille midfield player Rudolf Skácel for the first time, while Marek Heinz is recalled after a two-year absence after eight goals in nine games for FC Baník Ostrava took him to the top of the Czech scoring charts. Defender Miroslav Holenák is another to return after a long international lay-off.
