Familiar look to Sweden squad

Lars Lagerbäck and Tommy Söderberg have made two changes for Sweden's final UEFA EURO 2004™ qualifier.

Ljungberg loss
Midfield pair Pontus Farnerud and Fredrik Ljungberg have both been left out, with Ljungberg having strained an ankle in Arsenal FC's 3-2 win against Newcastle United FC last Friday night.

Goalscoring heroes
Otherwise, the squad is unchanged from that which clinched a place in the finals in Portugal with a 2-0 away win in Poland on 10 September. The goalscorers in that game, Mikael Nilsson and Olof Mellberg, are both included.

Play-off bid
Victory in Chorzow guaranteed the Scandinavian side top spot in Group 4 with an unassailable four-point lead over Latvia. Latvia need to beat Sweden to be absolutely sure of holding off Hungary and claiming second place and a play-off berth. Hungary are at home to Poland the same night.

Sweden squad
Hedman, Isaksson, C Andersson, Dorsin, Edman, Jakobsson, Lucic, Mellberg, M Svensson, A Andersson, Johansson, Källström, Linderoth, Nilsson, A Svensson, Allback, Ibrahimovic, Jonson, Skoog.
