Article summary
Rangers FC striker Shota Arveladze is a doubt for Georgia ahead of their Group 10 meeting with Russia.
Article body
Knee injury
Arveladze, who has scored six goals in six Scottish Premier League games this term, will have tests on his left knee and may miss the trip to Moscow. Injury has already deprived Zhordania of the services of AC Milan defender Kakha Kaladze.
Korgalidze chance
With midfield players Aleksandr Rekhviashvili and Georgi Gakhokidze also out through suspension, Zhordania could introduce new faces for Georgia's final group match. Talented Skonto FC midfielder Levan Korgalidze has been called up and could be handed an international debut at the Lokomotiv stadium.
Kinkladze out
Russia must win to keep their qualification hopes alive and will note the absence of playmaker Georgi Kinkladze from Zhordania's squad. Kinkladze is without a club after recently leaving England's Derby County FC. Georgia are bottom of Group 10 but beat Saturday's opponents 1-0 in Tbilisi in April.
