Luxembourg lose their captain

Luxembourg are missing captain Manuel Cardoni for the qualifier against Norway on Saturday.

Luxembourg are missing three important players including captain Manuel Cardoni for the UEFA EURO 2004™ qualifier against Norway on Saturday.

Captain not recovered
The 31-year-old Cardoni developed bronchitis after the recent match against Romania and has not fully recovered yet. Forward Marcel Christophe, who has missed the last three qualifiers, and midfield player Grégory Molitor are also absent through injury while Claude Reiter and Patrick Lassine have withdrawn from the squad at short notice.

Seven losses
Luxembourg, coached by former Danish international Allan Simonsen, have lost all seven of their Group 2 qualifiers so far, conceding 20 goals and scoring none in the process.
