The Czech Republic have confirmed their squad for UEFA EURO 2012, with Tomáš Rosický making the final 23 despite concerns over the playmaker's fitness.

With Vladimír Darida already having replaced Daniel Pudil after impressing in Saturday's 2-1 unofficial friendly win against Israel, Czech Republic coach Michal Bílek elected to trim FK Teplice goalkeeper Tomáš Grigar from his 24-man draft selection. The Czechs meet Hungary in Prague on Friday ahead of their opening Group A game against Russia in Wroclaw on 8 June.

"It was not pleasant, especially for the withdrawn players," said Bílek. "During the last week the fitness of Rosický made things more complicated as he was not 100%. "Ideally we would play our strongest possible starting line-up [for Friday's friendly against Hungary], but in this case the most important thing is that Tomáš is fit and ready for the first game at EURO."
