I'm very happy. The opening game is never easy, but we were well prepared for this, we had really focused on our tactics. The first half was especially good in terms of our tempo and quality. Our forwards did very well, pressing their defenders high up the pitch. Kyiv are not the best team in the Champions League but we didn't win because they were bad, we won because we really produced. Now Porto, a higher calibre team, lie ahead. But it was good to win this opener.

Yuri Semin, Dynamo coach
I believe we looked good enough for the first 20 minutes. We lost today because we were really bad for the next ten. The greatest shame is that in our recent match against FC Shakhtar Donetsk we also conceded two goals from set pieces. I don't want to blame any one individual – we lost as a team tonight. So, our start in the Champions League wasn't good, but we have to move on and prepare for the next games. I hope we can fix the problems we had today. Despite this defeat we'll still continue to fight for qualification.
