Playing the way we did tonight will help us win games in the future. We felt good as a team. We offered good support play and we were always looking to have possession of the ball in order to create more chances. We were looking to score goals up until the sending-off, which actually made the game harder.

Looking back on previous games, if I have one complaint it is that we lacked concentration. In our previous encounter against Bayern we made some bad decisions. Today, we believed in what we were doing as a team. What most occupies my mind now is that the side continues to play like this. Sometimes in football you can work well for 80 minutes and in ten you suffer a drop in form which can end up losing you the match.

Rudi Garcia, Lille coach
It was good in the first half, but Valencia made their chances count. Unfortunately, we failed to get our shots on target although I had made a point of underlining how important that was before the game. They were ahead at the break, then our second half was not good enough for me.

We did not create enough chances and they got their second, which put us in a difficult position, and to crown the evening Mathieu Debuchy was sent off. It was not a good night. We have to break this cycle quickly and win a match. I hope that will happen on Saturday. In the Champions League, when you lose at home, you have to win away. Big teams bounce back. Let's see if we have the quality to do that.
