Montenegro made it back-to-back wins in 2015 UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying Group 6 by prevailing 3-2 against Romania in Podgorica.

After taking an early lead, the hosts twice had a two-goal advantage, through Stefan Mugoša and Darko Zorić. A stubborn Romania fought until the last, however, and Mihai Roman twice cut the deficit, but an equaliser proved elusive.

Montenegro signalled their intentions early on, goalkeeper Alexandru Buzbuchi forced into a fine save from Luka Djordjević before the opening goal arrived on 12 minutes. Marko Vukčević was the man that got it, exploiting an error by Stefan Popescu before thumping past Buzbuchi. It was soon two courtesy of Mugoša's brilliant solo effort; beating two defenders before lobbing the keeper.

Romania pulled one back just before the hour through Roman's excellent free-kick, but Montenegro's two-goal cushion was restored with seven minutes remaining when Zorić converted Marko Vukčevićꞌs cross from the right.

The hosts were given a nervy finish when Roman converted from the penalty spot following Miloš Bakrač's handball, but held on to match group leaders Germany and maintain their perfect start to qualifying.
