The latest UEFA Champions League statistics handbook is an invaluable and informative online guide to everything you need to know about Europe's premier club competition.

Split into seven sections, the handbook is available to download as PDF files on UEFA.com. Covering everything from an itinerary of the season ahead to key facts and figures and all-time records, it is a truly comprehensive compendium which will be updated throughout the campaign.

Results and fixtures
Tracking every game, from FC Shirak and EB/Streymur's progress in the first qualifying round to the 24 May final at the Estádio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica in the Portuguese capital, this section will be refreshed with the result of each UEFA Champions League match throughout the season.

Club profiles
An in-depth history of all 32 group stage contenders, including club honours, contact details and all-time records, is available here. For example, did you know that Celtic FC have more domestic titles (44) than any other team in this season's competition? Were you aware that Nené made more than 800 appearances for SL Benfica? And who are the only group stage debutants this year?

The referees
UEFA.com delves into the backstory of the referees lined up to officiate in the competition this term, offering in-depth profiles of them all. Taking in everyone from Slovenian Matej Jug, who handled this summer's UEFA European Under-21 Championship final but is yet to run a UEFA Champions League game, to 2010 FIFA World Cup final referee Howard Webb, this section covers all the bases.

Facts and figures
Which side has featured in the UEFA Champions League 18 times, more than any other? What is the most successful nation in UEFA Champions League history? Who has the best win percentage? Who scored eight times in 2007 to rack up the biggest margin of victory in the competition? How many goals behind all-time leading scorer Raúl González are the likes of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo? This is every football fanatic's dream chapter, categorically leaving no stone unturned.

Finals
This segment is devoted to providing an all-inclusive history of European Cup showpieces, since the inaugural edition in 1956. As well as detailing the scores, scorers and lineups from each final, we also list every captain to have lifted the trophy, winning coaches and a host of other statistics specific to the biggest game in European club football. Who is the only coach older than Jupp Heynckes to have guided a team to glory? Who is the only player to have landed the European Cup with three different clubs? Find out here.

Last season
Here we revisit every game from 2012/13, a season that culminated in FC Bayern München defeating Bundesliga rivals Borussia Dortmund at Wembley.

All-time records
All manner of stats are included here. Did you know that Feyenoord's 12-2 first-leg victory over KR Reykjavík in the 1969/70 first round remains the record score for a single game? Or that the great AC Milan defender Paolo Maldini has made 11 more European Cup appearances than any other player? There is plenty more of the same here.
