Adam Nawałka, Poland coach
At half-time we had a normal conversation, and I told the players that we needed to be more focused, and by the 60th minute it had become easy for us. We had control throughout, but in the second half we were much better.

The first 15 minutes went well. We scored, but after that we got a bit lazy and became nervous because we had only scored once.

We came here to get three points and that's the most important thing. Now we'll analyse the match to see what went wrong and what went well. I've talked to some of the players and we'll work it out back in Poland. I am impressed with Gibraltar and the way they played. They are sure to have a good future.

Allen Bula, Gibraltar manager
Fitness had something to do with it. The Polish manager had a game plan, knowing how long we would last. It was also a massive occasion and a reality check in our EURO debut.

The positive is that if the players had been 100% match fit, focused on the match, and if we'd been up to speed, we would have given Poland a better game. We knew what Robert Lewandowski could do, but we gave him too much time and space and they crucified us.

Playing with heart will help us achieve what we want to achieve, but we seemed deflated after 45 minutes and we needed the physical aspect to go with it. We have learned a lot from this game, and coming up against a striker like Robert Lewandowski. We showed we can handle him in the first half, but if you give strikers of his calibre an inch, they will punish you.
