Arm false alarm for Yulu-Matondo

Club Brugge KV striker Jeanvion Yulu-Matondo can return to training after a hospital examination confirmed that he has not broken his arm.

Untimely collision
Having scored a hat-trick in the first half of Tuesday night's UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifier between Belgium and San Marino, the 19-year-old was carried off just after half-time following a collision with the Sammarinese goalkeeper. Initial reports suggested the youngster had sustained a fracture.

Just bruising
However, an examination revealed that Yulu-Matondo has only bruised his arm and will be able to return to training this week. He may now be in the squad for Club Brugge's opening UEFA Champions League Group A game at home to Juventus FC on 14 September.
