Turkey to make Italy trip

Eight wins for Italy 
Pescara Calcio's Adriatico stadium will host the match, the ninth between the nations, eight of which Italy have won, with one draw. Their last meeting was at EURO 2000™, the Italians gaining a 2-1 victory on their way to the final.

Turkey on form 
Italy will be looking for a similar result this time around after a disappointing start to their EURO 2004™ qualifying campaign. Giovanni Trapattoni's side drew at home to Yugoslavia then lost in Wales. Turkey lead Group 7 by five points having beaten Slovakia, F.Y.R. Macedonia and Liechtenstein.
