Rafael van der Vaart scored in each half as the Netherlands left coach Marco van Basten a content man with a fine friendly victory in Seoul.

'Very satisfied'
The Oranje missed a handful of good chances before Hamburger SV playmaker Van der Vaart fired in from the spot after 30 minutes following a foul on debutant Andwele Slory, the 24-year-old SC Excelsior striker. Van der Vaart struck his second 20 minutes from time, tapping in Mario Melchiot's cross. "We are very satisfied with the result," Van Basten said. "We were able to create a lot of chances. It's good to come to Asia and win against a team like Korea, they're a good side." The Netherlands, who play Thailand on Wednesday, do not resume their UEFA EURO 2008™ campaign until Bulgaria visit on 8 September but are riding high in Group G with 14 points from six matches.
