Two-match ban for Huddlestone

The Football Association has appealed against the two-match ban imposed on England midfielder Tom Huddlestone after his straight red card against Serbia.

England midfielder Tom Huddlestone has been suspended for two matches after his red card in last night's UEFA European Under-21 Championship victory against Serbia in Nijmegen.

Misses semi-final and final
As a result, the Tottenham Hotspur FC youngster - dismissed for insulting the assistant referee in the 90th minute of the 2-0 win - will miss the semi-final against the Netherlands in Heerenveen on Wednesday, and the final in Groningen on Saturday if his team were to qualify. The Football Association has appealed and the case will be heard on Friday. UEFA has opened disciplinary proceedings into various incidents that took place at the match. Click here for more details.
