Julie Fleeting is honoured to have become the first player to reach a century of goals for Scotland at any level – as she prepares to win her 100th cap on Wednesday night against Denmark in Perth.

The 26-year-old Arsenal LFC forward achieved the landmark in Saturday's 3-0 UEFA WOMEN'S EURO 2009™ qualifying win in Slovakia, and was presented with a specially designed Scotland shirt and golden boots by sponsors. While there will be another presentation before the men's team's UEFA EURO 2008™ qualifier against Italy at Hampden Park on 17 November, Scottish Football Association chief executive Gordon Smith will be at McDiarmid Park on Wednesday to congratulate Fleeting, who emulates team-mate Pauline Hammill and Kenny Dalglish in playing 100 times for Scotland.
'Great honour'
Fleeting, who made her international debut aged 15, said: "It's a great honour. The recognition I am receiving is amazing. For a long time there were always more goals than caps – fortunately I just managed to get the goals before the caps, so that was nice!" Scotland are one point above top seeds Denmark in Group 5, but have played two games more.
