High hopes
A 3-0 win against Iceland last month lifted Liechtenstein to within one point of their victims and two of Latvia. Therefore a victory for Liechtenstein in Riga on 17 November would be enough to ensure they did not finish last in the seven-team group, provided four days later Iceland do not prevail in Denmark or Latvia triumph in Sweden. A draw would also lift Liechtenstein above Iceland on head-to-head record.
