Centre Zagreb AMA share the UEFA Regions' Cup Group A lead with Oltenia AMA after both recorded 2-0 wins in their opening games. The tournament hosts had Ivan Graf to thank for two second-half penalties which earned Centre Zagreb victory and coach Sreten Ćuk was glad his team overcame some early jitters. His Bratislava AMA counterpart Ľubomír Bohúň was disappointed with the result, while Privolzhie AMA coach Dmitry Golubev was more frustrated by the manner of his team's performance againstOltenia. The Romanian side's coach, meanwhile was eyeing the final. "We want a medal," said Sorin Patrascu.

Sreten Ćuk, Centre Zagreb coach
Always at the beginning of the tournament people say the first match is really important. Both teams didn't want to lose the game but I have to say one of the best players was their goalkeeper, who made four or five fantastic saves. The problem is, some of these guys know what an important game this is and they are a little afraid of taking this chance – they know what it means to them. That was maybe the reason why we didn't score from such great chances in the first half. After that we took the game to them and it was a matter of time before we scored, we had many shots from inside the box.

Ľubomír Bohúň, Bratislava coach
It's hard talk about this match after such a result as we are very disappointed. We would like to congratulate our opponents on the win. The team played well – to their maximum; it was the best they could do.

Dmitry Golubev, Privolzhie coach
I am very disappointed. My players did not play to the best of their ability. We were too slow and we let the Romanians dominate possession. I hope they will be a lot better in the next game.

Sorin Patrascu, Oltenia coach
We were determined to win and we played well. We want to play in the final and get a medal. Our region has a couple of very talented players but our main strength is great team work.
