Azerbaijan side Geyazan Amateur have reached the finals of the 2002/03 UEFA Regions' Cup after romping to three wins out of three in their Group 1 qualifying section.
The Azeri amateur outfit, who had the advantage of being on home soil, began the mini-tournament fairly slowly with a 1-0 win against Pivdenstal Amateur of Ukraine, with Mammadov scoring the only goal after 65 minutes.
Imathia open with win
In the other opening game Imathia Amateur of Greece beat Tbilisi Amateur 2-1, with goals from Pagouras and Kiriazopoulos while Gunia replied for the Georgians.
Pivdenstal hit seven
In their second game Geyazan swept Tbilisi aside 5-1, with Gurbanov hitting four goals. Pivdenstal were even more impressive as they eased past Imathia 7-0, with Moiseev registering a hat-trick.
The final round of games saw Pivenstal enjoy another goal glut as they beat Tbilisi 6-0, Griniouk scoring four times. However Geyazan held their nerve with a 5-1 win against Imathia, despite being held 1-1 at half-time, to win the group and progress to the Regions' Cup final tournament, which will be held in June 2003.
