Tuzla Canton AMA missed out on the UEFA Regions' Cup final after falling to defeat against eliminated Basse-Normandie AMA.

Tuzla pipped
The team from Bosnia-Herzegovina topped Group A| at kick-off and as it turned out a point would have been enough to take them through. But goals from Jean-François Mayeur and Marc Geslin gave the French side their only points of the competition and allowed Bulgarian hosts South-East Region AMA to pip Tuzla with a 0-0 draw against Northern Ireland's Eastern Region AMA. Tuzla do receive bronze medals for joint third-place in the tournament after finishing ahead of Eastern Region on head-to-head record with Basse-Normandie a point behind.

Opening goal
Basse-Normandie attacked from the off and forwards Jonathan Tendron and Mayeur constantly terrorised a Tuzla defence that had only conceded once in the finals. On 18 minutes the pressure told when Tendron got around his marker to the left and found Mayeur free in the penalty area to produce a finish that gave Tuzla goalkeeper Emir Muratović no chance.

Attacks continue
It could have been two soon after but Tendron's spectacular scissors-kick from Mayeur's cross was somehow saved by Muratović. Tuzla were trying to respond but were finding no way through and Tendron continued to raid on the left, in the 38th minute nutmegging his marked and bursting into the penalty area. He found Mayeur but the striker missed the target. In the final seconds of the half Tendron came close again after another break down the left but struck the post.

Result confirmed
Little changed after the break and Tendron took just two minutes to threaten, forcing another save from Muratović. Tuzla did have a chance to equalise with 20 minutes left but Admir Cehajić failed to convert from close range. And with four minutes to go the result was put beyond doubt when David Lefevre released Geslen and the latter made no mistake and to ensure Basse-Normandie ended their campaign on a high.
